Void goddessa

 

Void goddessa is a digital fragment from a found 16mm film combined with found sound. The source film is a silent 1950's medical documentary on the treatment of the spinal condition ankylosing spondylitis. The source of the soundtrack is a telecommunications signature tune now defunct.

The combination of the sound and image in cyclic repetition echoes the format of presentation and dislocates the original contexts and media.
